About Labor Arbitration Services, Inc.

The mission of Labor Arbitration Services, Inc. is to provide quality intensive training in all the vital skills so necessary to become a winning advocate in labor arbitration hearings. Since our inception in 1979, we have trained over three thousand management and labor union advocates. Throughout our forty years, many employers, government, and labor unions have relied upon us to prepare their advocates for the critical task of presenting labor disputes to arbitrators. We hope you enjoy our labor arbitration advocacy course.

OUR METHOD OF INSTRUCTION

Limited enrollment allows participants to be divided into small groups for intensive exercises in arbitrator selection, case preparation, opening statements, direct and cross-examination, closing arguments, making and meeting objections, introducing evidence, using demonstrative aids, and other facets of labor arbitration advocacy. Emphasis is placed upon participants actually “doing it” rather than lectures. On the fourth day of the Basic Course, participants will present a discharge case to a distinguished labor arbitrator who will give individual critiques to each participant. A comprehensive Labor Arbitration Manual, prepared exclusively for use in training, is provided to each participant. (Manual available only to attendees.)

(Fl. Bar – 36.5 hrs. General C.L.E.R. Credits – For each course)

Instructors and Arbitrators

Our instructors are carefully selected for their extensive experience in labor arbitration advocacy. The instructors will use their years of preparing and presenting labor arbitrations to teach you the fundamentals of labor arbitration advocacy. The participant’s arbitrators for the Basic Course are members of the National Academy of Arbitrators, and each has served as a neutral in hundreds of labor arbitrations.
